Business Development Manager – Green Hydrogen

About the role:

  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – GREEN HYDROGEN -
  • Based Madrid/Remote
  • Large player engineering company in the renewable gas industry, green hydrogen.

Mission:

  • Lead and drive the development and implementation of the commercial strategy and sales for green hydrogen engineering services and solutions for industry, mobility and transportation as allied infrastructure development. Continuous search for Clients and business opportunities in western Europe (mainly France, UK and Center of Europe) for the company through networking, client interactions, market prospecting, and participation in trade fairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company's hydrogen business across Europe, focusing on green hydrogen projects.  Create and implement business plans and strategies.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with local partners, contractors, advisors, institutions, offtakers, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and analyze new business development opportunities, including selecting the best geographies, segments, partners, and customers, pricing strategies.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed of market trends and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Spain’s Commercial Team to develop and submit proposals to clients, including preparation and follow-up until project award.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of green hydrogen projects.
  • Oversee commercial negotiations, draft and negotiate contracts.
  • Regularly travel to assigned areas to explore and develop business opportunities.
  • Deliver presentations to prospective clients and stakeholders.
  • Participate in conferences, summits, and other communication channels to enhance business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to support business growth.

Skills required:

  • Ms/Bs University Degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering.
  • 10-15 years of experience, with the last 5 years in equivalent positions (business development). Preferably seeking a professional from the Natural gas, Energy, Oil & Gas-Petrochemical sector, particularly in engineering and/or manufacturing of electromechanical equipment.
  • Sufficient technical capability to adequately explain and communicate the company’s solutions and their scope.
  • Knowledge of European institutions, local standards and design norms and local practices for contracting.
  • It will be highly regarded the knowledge of manufacturing processes, research methodologies, designs, recent scientific advances, and technological developments in the areas of compression, storage, transportation, and dispensing of gases.
  • Initiative, self-motivated, good communicator, creative thinker, with synthesis skills, and customer-oriented.
  • High level of French and English proficiency.
