We are seeking a CEO for a national business unit who will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing the strategy for expansion and operation of the unit. The goal is to establish a robust client network in Spain, requiring a combination of strategic, operational, and leadership skills to build this business line from the ground up, aligning it with the vision and objectives of the parent company.
Job description
Business Strategy and Development:
- Define and execute the expansion strategy, focusing on identifying business opportunities and forging strategic partnerships with large retailers, hotel groups, shopping centers, and others.
- Negotiate long-term agreements with key partners.
- Identify and prioritize strategies that maximize visibility and profitability.
- Design and implement operational and commercial processes to ensure contractual compliance.
Financial and Operational Management:
- Define and manage the budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achievement of financial goals.
- Oversee operations to ensure high-quality service levels and excellent customer experience.
- Monitor and optimize commercial performance, implementing continuous improvements based on data and key metrics.
Innovation and Sustainability:
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and technologies in the sector, ensuring the company remains competitive and innovative.
- Promote sustainable solutions aligned with the parent company's values.
Stakeholder Relations:
- Work closely with the parent company to align the business unit's strategy with the group's overall objectives.
- Represent the company at industry events, reinforcing its position as a leader in its segment.
Requirements
Academic Background:
- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
- An MBA or postgraduate studies are highly valued.
Professional Experience:
- Over 10 years of experience, including leadership roles in business development, expansion, and/or site acquisition in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, commercial real estate, or similar.
- Proven experience in building and leading teams from scratch.
- Track record of successfully negotiating and closing strategic agreements with large and complex clients.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong strategic, commercial, and leadership skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage ambitious projects and tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate high-uncertainty environments and build a scalable business from the ground up.
Other Requirements:
- Advanced English proficiency (oral and written).
- Willingness to travel as needed.
